Star Phone Fix is a small repair shop on West 29th Street in Hialeah. Since 2019 we have focused on solving the problem with your phone, tablet, computer or game console at the lowest possible cost, without lowering the quality of the repair. Most repairs are quick and done the same day, and we also take on the advanced work that takes longer, from micro-soldering to water damage and data recovery. Before anything starts, you get a straight answer about what it will cost.
We explain everything before we start
Every repair starts with a free diagnosis, no appointment needed. We find the problem, show you what is wrong and tell you your options. When the damage is clear, we print a ticket before any work begins with the parts we will use, their quality, the total and the warranty. Nothing starts without your OK. No fix, no charge.
What you see during your repair
Your repair happens in plain sight, not in a back room. Our repair bench is fully visible from the waiting area, and the inspection, the tests and the repair itself are done where you can see them. If we notice other damage along the way, like cracked back glass you did not know about under the case, we show it to you and the decision is yours: we only insist on an extra repair when the device cannot work without it.
Before we start, you unlock the phone yourself and we test everything that can be tested, together: every rear camera lens, the front camera, audio, buttons, flash and more. You never have to give us your PIN or password. When the repair is done, we run the same tests again in front of you. Our warranty covers the parts we replace, and these before and after tests show you that the rest of the device leaves just as it came in, with the original problem fixed.
Options for every budget
A low price only helps if the repair lasts, and not every phone needs the same part. On iPhone, our Economy and Premium screens are in stock for same-day repairs; the other options depend on availability. An economy screen makes sense when you only need the phone working long enough to recover or transfer your data, or when you plan to trade it in or sell it soon and want to keep more of its value. For a phone you plan to keep, our Premium screen is Soft OLED, always at the same refresh rate the phone was made with.
If you want to avoid the "Unknown Part" notice or keep True Tone, there is also a Soft OLED screen with a pre-programmed chip, and genuine screens, sold new, refurbished or as pulls (removed from another phone of the same model). On request, we can transfer the chip from your original screen to keep True Tone: it costs extra and adds significant time, and it is not always possible, because it depends on the original screen never having been replaced and its chip coming out in good condition. Android phones with an OLED screen get a genuine or Soft OLED screen; an LCD on those is only by special order for data recovery. We explain the difference in plain words so you choose what fits your budget, and our guide to OLED and LCD replacement screens compares them side by side.
Our reference prices for phones and tablets are published on the home page, and if a local shop quotes less for the same repair and part quality, our price match guarantee covers it.
Fast and reliable
Most repairs are done the same day. Most iPhone screen replacements take 15 to 30 minutes, and Samsung, Motorola and other brands take 30 to 60 minutes. Before you pick up your device, we test it and check that its settings work.
Every repair where we replace a part includes a 90-day warranty on parts and labor, printed on your receipt. The receipt is also saved in our system, so your phone number is enough for a warranty claim.
Same-day repairs are our focus, not our limit
Most customers need a quick repair at a fair price, so our day is built around same-day work. That is not all we do. Some jobs take longer because they go deeper than replacing a part: micro-soldering on the logic board of a phone that will not turn on, water damage repair, advanced diagnosis of faults that come and go, data recovery from devices that no longer start, and console repairs such as PS5 HDMI ports and power supplies. Before we start, we tell you what the job involves and how long it usually takes.
Why this page has no names, photos or badges
We prefer to be judged by things you can check yourself: the printed ticket before the repair, the warranty on your receipt and what our customers write in their Google reviews. That is why you will not find staff photos, titles or certificate logos here, only how we work.
